Sir Luventime's Day
'The Lad and the Ring' will descend upon mankind within days. But until then, I thought I'd share with you the story of a day celebrated in Skiddle Earth that is not so unlike one of our own holidays.
The Story of Sir Luventime's Day (Feb 13th): 'Romantus Luventime was a marriage officiant who performed a record number of ceremonies in olden days. He became well-known and highly requested. When war broke out in his town with very few soldiers, he took up a sword and valiantly defended the townsfolk for days on end, proving himself to be a masterful fighter. In the end, the town was saved, but Romantus had been mortally wounded. Many of the couples he'd married paid tribute at his funeral. Not long after his death, the ruler of the town declared him an honorary knight. He has been remembered on that day every year since, and the tradition spread widely over time.'
This is simply from my many notes, and is not mentioned in any book as of yet, but that's all I have to reveal for now. Thanks for your continued support. Grab yourself a copy of The Lad and the Ring on February 17th. If you haven't read The Gabbin first, it is available right now in its most updated version yet. Think you can read it before The Lad is released?! There is still more content in the works, so stick with me, Skiddle-Brains!
